Six composition demos showcasing the range and character of Fire's FM synthesis engine. The demos were created using Apple MIDI loops and session musicians in Apple Logic Pro.
Demo tracks include drums for musical context. All other sounds are generated entirely from Fire.
Classic FM synthesis power with a modern workflow.
Each operator acts as a carrier or modulator depending on the selected algorithm. High-quality wavetable sine generation with linear interpolation and self-feedback per operator.
Every classic FM algorithm from the Yamaha DX7 is included — from tight stacked modulator chains to complex multi-carrier arrangements. The full classic FM routing palette.
Each operator carries its own classic four-stage envelope (R1/L1–R4/L4) with velocity sensitivity.
Frequency ratio (0.5×–16×), fine detune in cents, output level, feedback amount, and velocity sensitivity on every operator — precise harmonic and dynamic control.
Five waveforms (Sine, Square, Saw, Triangle, Sample & Hold) targeting pitch, level, or pan. Free-running, mono retrigger, and poly retrigger modes.
Phaser (2–12 stages), Chorus, stereo Delay with independent L/R times, and Reverb with pre-delay and damping.
Covering the classic FM palette: electric pianos, organs, strings, brasses, metallic textures, and more. Save, load, and manage your own presets.
DX7 operator envelopes, LFO waveform, EQ curve, and compressor curve — see your sound as you shape it. Envelope visualisers are interactive; drag the stages directly.
Play directly from the on-screen virtual keyboard at the bottom of the UI — no MIDI controller needed. Connect a MIDI keyboard and it works automatically. Pitch bend and mod wheel are fully supported, with real-time pitch and mod visualisers.
Key parameters respond to MIDI control change messages out of the box: CC 74 (filter brightness), CC 71 (resonance), CC 73 (attack), CC 72 (release), CC 7 (master volume), CC 10 (pan), CC 5 (glide), CC 1 (mod wheel / LFO depth), CC 64 (sustain pedal). All CCs update the UI instantly and are fully automatable in your DAW.
Because Fire has not yet been signed with a code-signing certificate, Windows may display a security prompt. This is normal for independent software.
