5. Plugin License Activation
To validate your license, the plugin generates a unique machine identifier for the computer it is running on. This identifier is derived from the following five pieces of information:
- Computer name
- User login name
- Operating system name
- CPU speed
- Number of CPU cores
These values are combined and converted into a numeric hash code using a one-way hashing function. The raw values listed above are never transmitted to any server — only the resulting hash is sent to the Music Sound Software activation server for the purpose of verifying your license and enforcing the two-computer activation limit.
This hash code is visible to you at any time in the plugin's built-in License dialog, so you can see exactly what identifier is associated with your machine. The hash cannot be reverse-engineered to recover the original system values.
This data is used solely for license validation and is not shared with any third parties.
6. Your Rights
Because Music Sound Software does not maintain its own customer database, there is very little personal data held by Music Sound Software that would be subject to a data access or deletion request. Transaction records are held by Gumroad, and any requests regarding that data should be directed to Gumroad in accordance with their privacy policy.
The only personal data that Music Sound Software's systems may process is license key and machine identification data used for license activation (see section 5 above). If you have questions about this, you may contact Music Sound Software via your Gumroad order page.
